2003 S-Type black touch screen code 51&50
like a kid with a new toy pushed the wrong damn button and now have a black touch screen , anyone have an idea where I can purchase the programing disc for my car? I would greatly appricte the help

Touch screen has stopped working.
Greetings, all!
I am hoping that someone here might be able to offer some advice! I have a 2007 S-Type 2.7 liter Diesel.
As per the name of this thread, I am having the same codes show up and my touchscreen no longer comes on. It started to do this intermittently, and seemed to reboot every few miles for a period while driving, but then it simply went out and the C1, 50 and 51 constantly is on.display. The exasperating part is that I now have no control over the climate controls, the CD playing in the boot, setting the clock, GPS and even the rear window defogger.
I read somewhere that the codes displaying on the dash mean that there is a problem with the SAT/NAV unit in the boot, which sits on top of the CD cartridge, so the 1st thing I tried to do was to eject the SAT/NAV disc, but no response, it did not eject, even when the screen would come on for a few moments when the car was idling. Without removing anything, I thought I would check here first.
I also read that this problem is rarely caused by the display itself as they are quite durable. I checked all the fuses in the cabin under the glove box and they were all good.
About 4 yrs ago I had a problem with the CD cartridge under the SAT/NAV unit, and it was removed and sent away to Munich here in Germany where they repaired it, and everything was working fine until the screen started acting up and giving me the above codes. I was thinking I would maybe go back to the place to see if they could remove it and send it to the same place to see if there is a problem with it, but I thought I would check here first. Have any of you had this problem?
