2004 S Type Code P1642/ Multiple faults
Hello Forum, I am new to the forum. I have a 2004 S Type in which up to now, I have had no problems at all except for normal maintenance until now.
I rarely drive the car. Recently I drove my Jag to Cleveland, Ohio without any issues. Car has purred and driven smooth for the 3 years I have owned it. About 3 weeks ago while driving on a real heavy raining day here in Georgia, my lights started to blink in and out. Message popped up was gearbox fault/ABS fault. I made it home fine, and car sat for a few days before attempting to start again.
Now the car will not start at all. It will not even turn over. Act as though the battery is dead, but the battery is not dead. It is brand new 4/5 months tops.
But I also removed the battery and had it checked. It checked out fine. I have a cheap scanner and it gives me code P1642. My messages on dash are Gearbox Fault, ABS Fault, DCS Fault and Restricted Performance. Car says noting when key is turned. Could someone steer me in the right direction on this matter.
