Default 2004 S Type R front brake caliper leaking

Hello
i just changed my front brake pads on my STR and noticed the front drivers side pad surface facing the pistons are wet. This explains the slow drop in my brake fluid.Does anyone have any thoughts on a repair?

Thanks Fitz

You'll probably have to dig a round a bit but if it's just seals and dust boots I think you can probably find those though not from a Jag dealer.

Try the search function. I'm pretty sure that this has come up before.

These are very similar in construction to the race versions that I have on my race car and I can get those seals but I've never looked for the street version stuff for the Jag.

If your calipers are corroded that's another matter. Once again I KNOW we recently discussed getting rebuilt calipers and they weren't crazy expensive so SEARCH!

There are on-line, probably Youtube, tutorials showing how to replace the seals. You'l need compressed air, a few tools and some instruction.

It's possible though.

I think the caliper bolts always get replaced on this car as in thrown away???
