Hello,
I was looking for an aftermarket performance throttle body spacer for my n/a 4.2 S Type but couldn't find any. Could somebody tell me if there is one made for another car but also works on this car or if there is one made for the 4.2 that I just didn't see? Any help would be much appreciated

 

Forgive me for my ignorance. What's the spacer going to do?

 

The throttle body spacer will increase the size of the throttle body, thus letting more air in the engine.

 

I remember seeing a thread on a forum for the Lincoln LS (sister-car to the S-Type) where a couple of members swapped their throttle bodies for one from a F150 4.6L/5.4L 3-valve V8. Didn't get any gains from the swap IIRC, but maybe a spacer for a Ford 3V V8 "might" just fit, in theory anyway. If I can find the thread I'll try to link to it so you can glean whatever information might be useful to you, or it might be faster to Google it up yourself. As always YMMV & this info is is worth exactly what ya paid for it. Good luck

 

Thanks so much for the help! I'll be sure to look into that. There just seems to not be a lot of aftermarket performance parts that are easy to find, at least in my experience.
