Default 2005 s-type r ground location question

I just removed and replaced the supercharger on my STR and I've ran into a bit of an issue. The car will not start. After some testing I've found the issue the coil packs are not grounded properly. Now the car ran well before supercharger replacement and I know I've missed a ground somewhere. However, for the life of me I can't find it. I've since taken the supercharger back off and I can't find the ground that the .pdf from ttwotees thread mentions. It's simply not there. Maybe someone can shed some light on this for me because I don't want to just run a new ground wire for the coils.

I have access to mitchell shopkey 5 through a friend and all it tells me is "center of engine." I still can't find it, the supercharger is still off the vehicle.

What do you mean not grounded properly? A lot of times on modern cars things are energised by grounding them i.e. they are switched on by the computer (here, PCM) pulling a signal wire down to ground.

I found the issue. It seems that the ground location is NOT where all the information I've read says it is. The ground strap is certainly not "at center of engine." It was on the front side of the passenger cylinder head. The previous owner of the vehicle sold it with an "intermittent no start" issue and I think I just found the problem! There wasn't a bolt holding the ground to the engine, it was just sitting up against it. I put a bolt in there and now I'm reassembling everything (had to cut away a bunch of loom to follow the wire back manually.) Should take care of the problem though.

Well, there are lots of grounds and of course they're model- & year-dependent but hey.

Silvios;
Great find! Thanks for posting back as I would never have guessed a flaky ground could cause all that!
