Default 2005 STR - Question

My 2005 STR had a very mild bump from another car in the lot. So mild, the paint wasn't even scratched. But my airbag light came on afterwards. Is there a way to turn it off?

I am no expert on airbags, however I would take it to a dealership pronto.

Reason It may be like a volcano ready to blown anytime you hit a bump.

That would suck while driving...I have seen personally airbags break arms. noses, ribs.

They are nasty..

Were you in the car when it had gotten bumped? I do know that the wires and connector under the front seat become chaffed or the connector itself is very sensitive, I would start there.

Perform a hard re-set of the ECU. It's crazy but likely will re-set the air bag deployment module.

Awesome, I'm not sure what a hard reset is, but I'll search the archives here for an answer. Thanks for the advice!

I know when I went to look at my car the airbag light was on. I had the dealer I bought it from fix the issue (I want to say it was an airbag module) and it was ~$800 the dealer paid before I bought the car.

I would check the airbag code to see what it may be.
