I am trying to find a bolt-on catalytic converter replacement for my 2006 S-Type 3.0L. Oddly enough, the price of bolt-on cats for 2006 S-Type is 2x higher than for 2005 S-Type - $800 vs $400 for the set of two.

Jaguar exhaust diagrams for MY2006 and MY2005 S-Type show different part numbers, but they appear visually identical with upstream/downstream O2 bongs being in the same general location.

Given the visual similarities between the two model years, I am wondering if I can reasonably assume that a bolt-on cat for 2005 S-Type is interchangeable with 2006 S-Type? Does anyone have knowledge or experience with interchangeability between 2006 and 2006 S-Type exhaust components?
