2006 3.0 Stype Steering CLUNK noise...

Hi Everyone...I have a knocking noise under braking whilst turning a corner and at crawling speeds...the clunk, pop, or knock-type noise when turning the steering wheel... It just seemed to start happening this week....Anyone else have this issue?

The noise when it does happen is only once....during the full turn of the steering system....

It's probably the noise covered in the FAQ here or on the uk forum. Have a read.

I would bet money it is the same noise as well. I got it on my 05 S-Type as well, it tends to happen a lot on these cars so my dealer tells me. They can replace something in the steering column, but is quite costly. I can only hear mine with the radio and ac off with the windows down at slow speed so imho it is not worth it to fix.
