Purchased a 2006 S-type with Navigation and Bluetooth. Checked with the Jaquar web site and
my phone is a accepted phone to use with this model.

When i push the phone button next the the Nav. screen I get this message.

I have done all my research and even read the instructions, on my Car and Phone.

Can anybody help me. . . my local Jaquar Dealer could not help.

We are independent, so I'm not much help. Are you dealing with Paretti Jaguar?

 

not all s type 2006 came with bluetooth.. check with dealer or pull back theleft side of your trunk carpet and see if you see a phone module under cd player... says motorola .. if it does you might just need a hard reset... disconnect the negativeterminalof your battery.. for 2 minutes... then reconnect and see if the message is gone

 

I checked with the Jaquar dealer this morning ,gavethem the vin number.
They pulled the sheet on it . . . . . . .and this Jaquarcame with the bluetooth option.
Which according to the sales gent was standard on the 2006 S-type.

Now about the Module . . . hummm I need to look under the Nav. DVD to see if it
is there. Maybe someone needed it more than me.

I found one on ebay for $500 , think I will keep using my Bluetooth headset if I need the
module.

FYI: This is the first Jaquar I ever owned , was not looking for one when I bought this one.
I have owned BMW , MERCEDES and INFINITY in the past two years. But must say . . I am very
much liking this S-Type, think I will keep it awhile. I just wished the front seat went back about
one more inch

Yes I like my seat to go back so I can stretch my legs. I am only 5'11' , guess Jaguar does not
cater to tall people.

The car has black out tailights and very dark tint windows. Gives it a very cool look.
I cannot get it inspected untill I change ny tail lights and the tint.
Just bought the tail lights "one on e-bay for $50 and one from Jaquar $250" to get it
inspected. Think I will put the black ones back on after getting my inspection tag.

Oh and back to the original question. I looked in the trunk around the Nav. bracket
and saw no signs of a Motoral Module. The car came with it originally , guess someone
needed it more than me.

Oh well . . . . . . head set it is.

Trust me Cajun, you can get it inspected with your tails and tints....you just need to leave a 20 on the seat. They'll understand.
