Smile 3.0 S-Type Coolant Temp

Hi
Having just purchased my first Jaguar i am a little concerned on how fast the temperature gauge reaches the mid position/normal running temp.
It never goes over in traffic or cruising at, lets just say over 70mph!!
And doesn't loose any coolant, is this normal?
Thanks
Adrian

Yes, the faster a car warms up, the faster in goes into closed loop fueling and better economy and less emmissions. This was recently pointed out in the new 5litre jaguar with short coolant passenges in the block to speed warm up to op. Temps
