i just acquired a S-Type from my grandad, however upon my first drive I noticed a definite burning smell and sure enough I can see oil leaking from the IMT and a ‘burnt’ patch on the exhaust manifold below.
I’m debating whether to tackle this myself or not. A couple of questions though:
1) how much would a typical Indy charge to carry out the work for me?
2) is it reasonably safe to keep driving the car whilst waiting for a slot?
