Thumbs up 3.0 V6 Rain causes "Engine Failsafe Mode" everytime.

I was wondering what could be causing this "Engine Failsafe Mode." It has only ever happened when it is raining. Ive heard of other people having this problem, but cant seem to find a solution. I took the car and had a diagnostic run on the ECU for codes but nothting is showing up. I have no clue as to what to do. But like the sun rises this code pops up in rain everytime. It doesnt really seem to affect performance at all though...thoughts????

The usual culprit is moisture getting into the throttle body. Search this forum using "moisture in throttle body" and you'll hit the jackpot....

Do a search under "Limp Mode" and "Throttle Body"... Grab a cup of coffee or glass of beer or wine and sit down for some good reading...

Now year would help.. If you have an early car you may be getting water running from the cowl onto coils.... But I digress..

Best bet to read first then be ready to answer some questions.. Many on here will walk you through it...
