35 foot pounds.
I recently replaced my front upper control arms and inquired here on the Forum about how much torque to apply to the control arm to body bolts and nuts. I was correctly told to tighten with the weight of the car on the wheels, but no one could come up with the correct torque. I called the local Jaguar dealer, his tech told me all I could put on it with a 17 mm end wrench.
A number of helpful people told me to download the free JTIS Software, but I had problems downloading(plus I picked up a spyware and a couple of sites I did not want. ). I saw a suggestion about a CD Repair manual in another thread. I ordered it, cost $6.48 with postage (they list $5.38 plus appox. $4.66 postage) from the U.K. took 2 weeks to arrive. It is a Jaguar Workshop Repair Manual on a CD, covers 2003 thru 2008 S-Type, just plug it in the CD drive, it Auto Runs, nothing to put on your hard drive. 2003 2008 Jaguar S Type X200 Workshop Repair Service Manual ON CD | eBay
It is very user friendly, and very comprehensive, I stuck it in the CD drive, it auto ran, clicked on the proper section, it took me to the front suspension, paged down to upper a arm removal and replacement, very clear instructions, and listed the torque of 35 ft/pds after weight is on the wheels.

Not sure where you tried to download JTIS from, but if it's from this site you're the first to report problems or spyware. Please advise if this is the case.
I checked my copy of JTIS and 35 ft/lb or 47 Nm is the correct torque.

No signs of spyware etc in JTIS from this site.
People are now selling essentially JTIS / GTR / TOPIx converted in various ways (such as a huge PDF) and those variants can be good for non-Windows people plus some of the variants cover beyond the 2004 cut-off date of JTIS. Some cover the diesel (2.7D) S-Type, for example.
It's also not hard to take JTIS and just look at its files, most of which are a funny kind of text (SGML, for those who care). That lets you read all the steps and to see the torque settings etc. This is all possible on non-Windows systems (like I use).
