Default 4.0 Aux Heat Pump

How would I test the pump to see if it is working? Still have no heat. Suspect either pump or DCCV.

I am a little slow, could you elaborate? Used multimeter to establish there was a circuit but could not find any current in the wires with key on but engine not running. Full procedure if you could. My CD does not work.

Grab Electrical Guide PDF for your specific car. I have the one for mine which does not apply to yours. I suggest start with fuses, any relays, then the pump and wiring.

I just hooked mine up to a 12 VDC power source on the bench. It took right off running. I replaced mine anyway since I had a new pump in hand.

I just tried jumping the relay terminals, nothing happened. Pump must be shot.

Be aware they can be rebuilt cheaply by replacing the brushes. I was told of this after I purchased the new pump. So I kept my old one in case I got ambitious and wanted to try rebuilding it. Apparently the brushes can be purchased at Radio Shack but have to be cut down to fit the pump. It has been posted on the forum so searching on AUX pump should bring it up.
