Default 99 V6 rear bumper/fender

I don't know if I'm going mad but I've just noticed that I think I might have a bit of my rear bumper missing. I gave the car a good wash and wax the other day. After a short drive today I noticed a hole inboard of the near side exhaust. I assume it's for a towing eye or a fuel cut off switch or something, I didn't really have the time to investigate.

Is there normally a cover over this bit, I've never noticed a hole there before, I guess I must have slightly dislodged the cover, if there was one, when I polished it and when I next drove the car it fell off. I'm sure I would have noticed if there wasn't a cover over it because I'm quite a meticulous washer!

Are the covers (if they exist) freely available? I've got the car almost perfect now, so I'm a bit peed off if I've lost it.

Thanks as usual for any advice.

Sounds like you lost the "Towing Eye Cover". Part number XR87650XXX. I assume the XXX in the part number is a color code. The parts catalog lists the US$ price of $54.46, but don't know how accurate that is.

Looked it up in less than a minute thanks to this great download... Thanks George!

Do yourself a favor and get this!

Thanks, I've looked at that but it looks too complicated for me and I don't have windows 7.

Part from Jaguar is £20

Thanks for the reply!

Oh, don't let the other posts in there scare you...

I have Windows XP.. It took me all of 5 minutes to get it on my PC.. Just follow the "read me" instructions. It's real simple..You'll love it!
