Default AC blower fan comes on by itself.

Can anyone tell me why my AC comes on all by itself? I will go outside and hear the AC blower fan running for no apparent reason. I naturally thought it was a feature to keep the inside cool but that can't be because there are days of heat that it's not doing it and days of lower temps that it is doing it.
And just to make it clear, I am referring to the inside of the car not the motor area and the car is turned off and no key in it.

Yes, I believe to remove moisture from the interior of the vehicle..

And the cabin blower comes on by itself?

Have someone sit in the car to confirm. It might actually be the radiator cooling fan.

It's the blower inside the car, not the radiator fan. Thanks though.

So I'm taking it that it is normal and no need to worry?

It should be not for long and with large gaps with it off.

I've never once heard the cabin blower run under such conditions nor can I imagine how it would remove moisture or do anything else except run the battery down.

mine runs after about 20 -40 minutes of being parked. runs for about 30-45 seconds.

Took it to dealer years ago. They said it was normal operation.

OK, so it's normal for the car to do that.

The engine would not be running at the time so the AC compressor is not turning to either cool or dehumidify the cabin. So what does running the blower accomplish?

I agree it seems weird but we have had it reported before and multiple people have reported the dealers say it's normal.

Why I just don't know.
