Im no mechanic but ill tell you what happened to mine. My air conditioning started to blow hot air, then cold air, etc. Before I had a chance to take it to a mechanic it was stuck on hot air no matter what temp, mode i put it in. Took it to a mechanic and the guy was able to diagnose it pretty well. Turns out i had a small radiator leak and the radiator fluid was dripping on an air conditioning component ( if im not mistaken its called a DCCV) and this cause a short to burn out my climate control module. After having the radiator leak fixed (rubber hose and DCCV replaced) I pulled out the control module and sure enough it had obvious burn marks. Took it to a local Computer repair place and they cleaned up the burned bridges, redrew them and I was back in business. Check your coolant level, if your loosing any, even a small amount, that might be the cause. Here are a few links related to this issue.
