Default Air cleaner vs evap system

Does changing the air cleaner effect the evap system? Thanks

Reason I'm asking is I changed filer now getting an evap code. Or... is this just a coincidence? Thanks

you could have inadvertantly cracked or split the breather line for the blowby. That would create a vac leak. Is it saying the code is small leak or large leak. Or maybe diturbed the hard evap line itself. Easiest would be to check anything you might have disturbed i think. But the answer is no to a new air filter affecting evap function
