Default Aircon Blows Hot Air Instead of Cold

Hi to everyone please can you help?

I have 2004 S-Type 2.7 manual Diesel and have a problem with my aircon.
When I set to Low it blows out hot air even if I turn the aircon off and set it to Low it still blows hot air out of all vents front and rear.

I was advised that this was the heater control valve and a common problem "Part Number XR843549" this was changed yesterday.

Now the aircon still blows out hot air when set to low but the front centre left hand vent blows cooler almost cold air.

Please can anyone help, this is my first ever Jag after 12 years of virtually trouble free driving BMW's, I have owend this jag since August of this year and would like to solve the problem.

Thanks and all the best

Craig

You need to read up on the DCCV valve. (that is what you refer to as the heater valve) What may have happened is the failed module could have shorted the climate control module. This too is very common. Again, you need to read up on the other threads. Just know, before you panic, that the control module can be repaired in most cases..

Craigyboy...... what happened with this? I have the same issue... hot rather than cold, and just had the air con regassed. It should be ok on the air con side, and I can see when the car is cold (just after switch on) the air blasting through is freezing! I guess the valve is faulty but wonder if the module is involved. I'd appreciate if you can help me solve this with your experiences of what happened with your car?

Near 6 yrs ago from someone with only 2 posts... not gonna happen.

It'll be the DCCV and likely by now the module as well.

I agree, its the DCCV and the CCM ... I have a similar thread open right now, waiting for my CCM to come back from repair. The DCCV cost about 80 bucks, replacement time for DCCV was about 200 bucks. sending the CCM out for fixing was about 120 bucks... The correct Jaguar coolant fluid 80 bucks so, its about a 480 dollar bill to correct the issue... do NOT try to get away with just repairing the CCM . you will just burn it up again. That was on a 2005 4.2 with navigation ...
