Default Alpine stereo guide

Picked up my 'new' 2003 STR today, great ride home. Poking around and found the 6 disc CD changer in the trunk, nice surprise.

The stereo is not mentioned in the manual. Is there one available for the Alpine somewhere online?

Not that I have seen. What questions do you have on it?

There are several handbooks. What do you want? Have a browse round where the sticky says...

On the bottom right there are 3 buttons, A.MEM, TA, PTY. What are they for?

There are also phone buttons. Is this for bluetooth? How would I pair it to my iPhone?

I'll leave it to the S-Type experts to point you to the correct Audio Manual download but can at least explain the buttons as these have the same functions across the Jaguar model range.

1. A-MEM
Auto Memory - programmes the nine strongest stations on the selected waveband into presets 1-9. To activate the function, hold the button for at least two seconds. The radio will mute briefly and a beep indicates when tuning is complete.

2. TA
Traffic Announcement - audio mutes whilst local traffic information is broadcast. (not sure you have this facility in the US?)

3. PTY
Programme Type - allows you to search for stations by programme type. Press the button to scroll through available programme types then press again to activate a search for the selected type.

All vehicles have the controls for Phone. However, only those with the complete Jaguar BlueTooth equipment installed can make use of this.
