Default Anti-freeze odor in passenger cab

This car is starting to become a pain in the you know what. I had to replace the dccv, repair the ccm, fix restricted performance issue and now this. There is no visible leak of cooling fluid and the problem seems to come and go. Now I'm wondering what might be causing this problem. Anyone had any similar experience?

Sorry Larry but we don't know what your vehicle details are.

Would be helpful to put them in your signature as many members have done. Quite easy and only takes a minute, go to "UserCP", "edit signature" ad details "click save" POOF done and no more guessing for us.

The STR has lots of cooling hoses. Where are the red stains at? I would borrow a pressure tester and pressure test it when cold. If not already changed out the top tank has small plastic nipples that can break off pretty easy. That’s simple to change.

Hopefully it's not the hose under the super charger as that is very labor intensive to change. That hose usually puts the red stain on the back of the motor.

Also, are you very certain it has to be antifreeze?

When does it occur?
