Default Back on the road

After being off the road for a combination of reasons I am finally getting down to the required work on my 2007 S Type R (42k Miles)
Today I have started to replace all discs and pads and cosmetic work on each wheel arch…
The last time I used it the motorised handbrake it was locking on so I’ve got to deal with that too.

1)After three years is there anything I should do before I attempt to start her up?. Battery is new and charged.

2) if I need to get new callipers, which should I go for, or can I get the parts to renovate the existing ones… pistons, seals etc?

3) which companies are the current “go to” places for S Type R spares?

Thanks in anticipation,
Rob

Hi, Rob: Three years idle is a long time for an EFI car. The fuel in the tank will be bad, the fuel pumps may be inoperative and injectors varnished or clogged. Was an additive, e.g. Stabil or Seafoam, put in the tank prior to the long period of non-operation?

Thank you…No, unfortunately, it wasn’t a planned event… it just happened as a result of several consequences…
Ive been worried that I will encounter problems and need to address them in the right way. Once I’ve replaced the brakes Im thinking of trailering it to a recommended jag independent for evaluation

I'd change fluids especially oil.

Don't just start it, crank either with fuel pumps disabled (remove fuses etc) or at WOT (but must be WOT, not just near it - so that fuelling is inhibited).
