Since I have the optional touch screen DVD with video input, I've decided to buy a $12 back up camera for my STR. A little added comfort for the wife when she has to drive it. I've ran all the wiring and have just found out the tail lights are wired completely backwards as they are GROUND switched instead of tradition hot wire powered in all other American cars I've owned in the past. So instead of running the power wire to the reverse lights I've got to figure out where to connect the ground wire to switch the camera on when I select reverse. Anyone know how to do this?

 

Use a relay ! The relay will click on when you earth it and swich positive power feed to your camera!

 

How do I connect the ground wire to the relay? Sorry, I'm not familiar with this process. I'm used to connecting the ground and done.
