Default Bigger wheels?

Hey All!, I have a 2002 s-type (2.5), I have bought some 19" wheels to replace to the old 16's, My question is will this affect the ride handling as my wife loves how smooth the Jag is to drive compared with other cars?

Also I have to use pcd adapters but I cant see that being much of a problem, Also will they fit straight on, Meaning I dont have to roll the arches etc?

Thanks people!!!

A lot will depends on the sidewall thickness of your tires. Mine came with 18s and the stock tire size was 275/35/18s in the back. It was good mix of firm and smooth. I have since moved up to 275/25/20s and it is much more harsh over bumps (I also have lowering springs). If you stay will a 35 series sidewall you will most likely still be happy with the result.
