HI guy i called my local jaguar dealer ask them if i could buy the cd apparently they dont sell these cd and that would never release the files to the public..they said to bring the car in and they will have a look at $180 per hour. no luck there does anyone out there have a copy of the file please email me colintran@optusnet.net.au
I had the vr same problem with the 50/51 errors and blank screen. my climate cntrol did not work either. It turns out my problems were self inflicted by playing with too many buttons in the diagnostic menu.
I brought my cat to the Jaguar shop and they told me the same thing, bad NAV module or bad climate control module.
***HOWEVER*** I had been reading on the forums about ugrading the software and so on a stab in the dark i bought a most current maps disk (2012) from the dealer. From what I can gather this maps disk is different from the software upgrade disk that the dealers covet. Sure enough about 3 minutes after I installed the new maps disk the nav screen came back to life and so did th climate control.
Now the software version I have now is many years newer than what is was but is not as new as 2011 as posted earlier, I think mine is 2007. But the maps actually work. So try buying a new maps disk and see if that helps.
Hi thanks for your reply ..yeah my climate control doesn't work atm same with the button near by like defogger etc... CD Rom seem working fine if I hold menu /temp and nav the screen display a diagnostic but won't work when I press end to get out...what type of CD did u buy ? Is it just a newer version of where is CD ?
I also have the same problem with my 2.2 XF 2012 MODEL. The navigation usb corrupted the system and Jaguar are telling me that the whole module needs replacing!
Sorry not much help but I wanted to ask if anyone has seen a car with navigation BUT without dual climate control?
Thought this was a steal for a Navigation head unit at only $239!!
But I looked closer and noted the lack of dual climate controls? And the heated seat buttons are in a different spot too.
