May I suggest you contact the Jaguar engineers who designed these cars almost 20 yrs ago and ask?

Right where they belong, I should say. Call me old-fashioned, but I much prefer the floor-mounted high beam switch. It's what I had when first learning to drive, and it's tough to break the old habit of using your foot.

Pretty much all newer vehicles now have the high beam switch up on the steering column. I think the new design is a major safety concern, because I keep getting my foot caught in the steering wheel.

Where, when and how does an individual find the time to become intuitively acquainted with any vehicle?

Ha! I see your Ford F-150 with turn signal, wiper controls, including washer, and high / low beams. I raise it with all that mentioned, PLUS cruise control set, off, resume and coast on my Escalade Blinker Stalk. Oh and its not backlit either! ;P

Don't forget, some of these also had a remote AM radio switch on the floor too. You really meant to hit the brake, but you turned off the radio. And that your foot actually got stuck in the horn ring (remember those?). And...no back lights either.

You too, and I thought it was my big foot causing problems

I do that also, and the cruise gets activated or something else goes bugga up.

The MK7 was a SIMPLE car.
