Default Blowin cool air/ no hot air at all

Hi

Reading DCCV related issues here, i see most of the people were complaining of blowing hot air.

My issue is it is blowing super cool air, and from one side supper cool and other side cooler air and no hot air even to demist the windshield.
My car is stype 2000/ V8.Can any one shed some light if this cud be a DCCV? i am going to buy the Ford(LS) part frm RockAuto.Help is appreciated.

I have a 2005 and fought that problem. If you have never changed the DCCV then do it. They all go bad and you are shooting in the dark if you don't know the DCCV is good or not.

Do you have heat at high way speeds? Drive 60 mph for 20 minutes or so to check.

Are the heater hoses hot running into the firewall?

There is an AUX coolant pump which if not working will kill your heat at idle.

First thing I would do and this is what fixed mine. Unhook the 3 heater hoses going to the firewall. Then back flush those 3 hoses every way you can. Forward, backwards, plug one hose and then a different one so you force water thru the heater core.

Now we have a problem because with a split climate control system you have a split heater core. That means you can't flush it 100% like you could with the old single systems. If you have some blockage you might want to put some cleaner in the core and let it sit and work.

Here is what your heater core looks like so my description will make more sense.

I got my heat back after the heater core was flushed and I saw nothing come out of the hoses.

I had same issue on my 2001. Only cold air. Replace DCCV fixed the issue.
Try disconnecting the plug on DCCV and let the engine run. All three hoses connect to DCCV should start heating up. If only one hose is hot, then your DCCV is stuck in close position.

Same problem. Replaced the DCCV. Then all heat. Turned out to be a bad DCCV. Don't buy autopartsway. My lesson learned. $$$$
