Default blown head gaskets V8

I have a clean 2002 s tyoe V8 & was wondering would it be worth fixing a blown head gasket problem or just part the car out or junk it? Please give me your thoughts & comments.

Thanks,
Scott

Scott,

If you can DIY and keep costs down it may be worth doing. But odds are your going to need to scrap it or part it out... Your looking at $3K to $5K to find/install a used engine with no guarantees...

If you can remove the engine and heads it would not cost that much to have the parts checked to see if they are rebuildable. However used engines are not worth it.

Do you know what caused it to blow ??

Might make a difference as to if its worth it or not as you will need to make sure it doesnt happen again
