RE: Bluetooth Microphone
You are right on that about the microphone. I kind of answered my own question today in that I realised if my car was prewired I can just use the overhead because there will be a connection for it in the loom that is taped back. And if it isn't, I can use almost any mic (get a really good quality one or the OEM one since I hear the 05/06 one is good) and just run extra wires into the overhead console since it is just two wires from the mic to the rest of the harness.

RE: Bluetooth Microphone
So you're saying it's best to keep the A-pillar mic? I have heard some people say that it isn't as good as the overhead, but maybe it is as you have seen. Could another option be to just go to an electronics store and get the best quality mic they have and wire it in? I just don't like the look of the mic in the A-pillar and I think the overhead one is cleaner. Is it reasonable to think I could just wire in the best microphone I can find (not OEM)?

RE: Bluetooth Microphone
What Im saying is when we get complaints about people not hearing on the other end, Jaguar wants the overhead microphone replaced with the external, and ive not ever replaced those. So while you could replace with a different 1, my only point is dont throw away the external, you may never have an issue, but if you do, you already have the fix
