I have a constant boot open warning on my dash console. Have tried changing the sensor/plunger with no change.

Anybody got a clue???

 

Could be the wiring. Maybe where the boot hinge is.

 

Hey check and see if the plastic piece at the bottom where the boot hinge sits is all together if so take a towel or .a old thin t shirt and lay it down across there and then shut it if the light goes off then you might have to adjust that piece I let me know what you find out

 

^^^^^This should be checked first. I left mine off to change bulbs and the light came on, as soon as I put it back the light was off.

 

I cant see the bit you mean unless you mean the plastic bit on the locking mechanism???

Can you add a picture to show me the bit you mean as its probably me being thick.
