Based on what I saw in the 2001 S-Type owners manual, try the following:
1. Passenger compartment fuse box - fuse #35 5 amp brown stop lamp switch
2. Luggage compartment fuse box - Fuse 3 10 amp red left stop lamp
3. Luggage compartment fuse box - Fuse 7 10 amp red right stop lamp
4. Luggage compartment fuse box - Fuse 8 10 amp red high mounted stop lamp.
