I have a 2005 S Type 3.0. I understand that the regular brakes also engage and act as the parking brakes. But I note that the parts list call for not only brake pads, but also show emergency brake pads. As I am about to have the brakes redone, I would like to know if I there are emergency brake pads to also have inspected and or replaced. Please advise. Thanks.

 

The parts list probably includes the "R" which has a separate, electronic parking brake calipers and pads. On yours the parking brake should be integrated into the rear caliper so your regular pads are also the parking brakes.

 

I have a 3.0 and can confirm it's all one deal back there.
