Default Brakes 320mm or 300mm?

I've been researching brake pad/ rotor options for my 2003 S-Type V8. Several websites ask if my model uses the 320mm or the 300mm rotors on the front brakes.

I was at the dealer buying a part on Saturday so I asked the parts guy how do I find out if I have 320 or 300. He said that they measure them. He said there is no way to tell otherwise. He said most are 300mm and 320 is rare.

Can this be accurate? If so, does it matter which I replace with? In other words, if I buy 300mm and my original fronts are 320 does it matter? Can I replace with 300mm?

Thanks.

It took me a while to figure out because jaguar makes no reference whatsoever to this, but the difference is whether the car has sport suspension or not.

You cannot use the large rotors as the brackets and possible a few other things are different.

If you'd like e-mail me the last 6 digits of your VIN and I can check for you.

Thanks

Thanks for the generous offer! A PM is on its way.

I've bookmarked your website too!

Yup that is the difference...Sport pkg vs. Standard pkg. Since the Jag is a relatively rare car, most parts places don't know about the subtle differences.
