Default Brembo brakes

I have a 2003 str and the dealer put new Brembo pads and rotors on the front about a week ago. They also replaced one frozen caliper. The brakes make a terrible shuddering sound and vibrate sometimes when I stop and start and also when I creep at a stop light. Other times they are really nice and smooth. Of course It never does it when I bring it to show the dealer. Anyone else have this problem with Brembo brakes?

Maybe they put the brake pad on backwards, a springs clip might be loose.

I would have them inspect the caliper, pads, springs to make sure it was done correctly.

I took it in and gave the tech. a ride to show him so I don't get the old we can't find anything wrong. He really didn't seem too surprised at the sound until it got really loud. He said that that's why Jaguar no longer uses Brembo, too many complaints. Let's see how it goes.

Brembos are awesome brakes. They are by far the best brakes on the market and the top companies have used em for years. Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, so on and so forth. Also, the top cars of most companies use them. The Dodge Viper, SRT-4, WRX STI, Sentra SE-R, 350Z, G35, Evo, and even formula 1 uses them. That includes the S-type R, XKR, XJR, and some cadillacs too. I'm not too sure, but benz's I think bring them too! They're on the the ducati too!

Sometime this year I'll probably need new brakes. I thought about getting some new Brembo calipers that are painted and drilled rotors. But will that hurt in Jaguar concours points? Anyone know?

2003 S-TYPE R
All I know is that I had one caliper freeze up on the front and I could'nt move the car even under power and now the new caliper and all new front brakes vibrate and are very noisy sometimes as were the first set. I too have heard GREAT things about Brembo but this is my experience. I hope the dealer can resolve these issues. I really do like this car!!

It was an honest joke, as I'm sure only a **** would do it, and you're right, an R isn't an R without the brembo's!

Maybe the problem is not in the caliper...

They should NOT vibrate when operating as designed. If they don't filled right, leave the car at the dealer until they do.

That blows! Clearly something is wrong and I hope the dealer makes it right.

Thanks for the support guy's I got the car back Friday and surprise they said that they checked out the brakes and could'nt find any problems, meanwhile I get on the road and same issues. I'll keep bringing it back until they get it resolved but it's hard when they say that theres no problem and don't do anything. I'm sure that the brakes look fine but they still vibrate!
I'll keep you posted.

Here's the TSB for the brakes issued 6 months before I bought the car. I'm sure it was never addressed by the original owner right before returning the lease.
