A/C
Hi I am having AC problems with my 01 Jaguar s type 3.0. Few days ago I went under the wheel well and found the low pressure port and recharged it as indicated on the bottle. After using the whole bottle, I saw the clutch engage and AC did become available. But after 30 seconds of cold air, the AC started blowing hot air again and the clutch disengaged as well. I’m suspecting a leak in the system but I have no idea where and it would be too costly to take it to a professional so I’m out of options. I’m stumped and I don’t know what to do
If your system has gone completely empty, you may need to sacrifice part of a can into the system so the leak detector can find it. Don't forget to check at the vents inside the dash, too, in case the evaporator is the source of the leak. To detect such a leak, it's best to let the car sit for several hours with the engine off. Once the fan turns on, it blows out any leakage, so test before starting the engine.
If it leaks that fast you could put another can in slowly and with a helper one would listen for the leak. If you here nothing then at least you can operate the system and use the sniffer like Karl says

Thank you for all the replies I’ve finally resolved the issue. Turns out the rust on the bracket made a hole on one of the steel AC lines. I just patched it up and it blows cold as ice. Thank you.
