i have an '01 s-type 3.0. starting a few days ago, whenever i set the alarm, within 10 minutes it goes off for no reason. and it somethimes starts and sometimes does not. the times it does not start it will sometimes turn over and sometimes not even turn over. but i have noticed that if i wait a bit like 30mins it will eventually start if i keep trying. anyone know what might be wrong?

 

To quote JOsworth, "just typing outloud", how old is the battery. When these S Type batteries start to fail, all kinds of weird stuff happens. May want to have it tested.

 

Most likely would be battery or something related to it: connections, damp/water in the trunk etc.
