Default Car banging into reverse.

Hi everyone.
starting about a couple of months ago when shifting from park to rev. it feels as if my car is connected to a cable and all of a sudden the cable snaps and the jerks backward. And sometimes It will go into gear smooth and after I go back about a foot SNAP! other times its as smooth as can be. Also some times (very rarely) after I put it into park it will do the same thing. I brought it to the dealer and they found leaking trans. cooling lines. They were replaced and the trans. refilled but no change.
Any Ideas?
Thanks, Gary

Did the dealer perform TCM (trans. control module) reflash? Get this performed along with a hard re-set of the ECU.

Have a feeling reverse shift solenoid is sticking. OP, bring her back to dealer for inspection of shift solenoids.

Thanks,
I thought something might be sticking too. This morning I backed up a few feet before it snapped or banged. It's in gear it just does it a second after I put it in rev. or sometimes after I start to backup. Then sometimes it's perfectly normal(if there is such a thing). Haha!
Thanks guys.
will keep you posted.

Hold on - maybe it's the shift cable bolts on the side of the trans? They can work loose or even fall out.

Actually the more I drive the better it gets. I think the fact that it was low on fluid due to the leaking trans. cooling lines probably started it. after the lines were fixed and fluid replaced it was still doing it for a few weeks and then it started getting better and now it's virtually gone. Trans performs better than it has in years.
Thanks for all your input and ideas.
Gary.
