Car is freaking out.

Hi everyone. Help me out please.

Car sat over the weekend. Would turn over but not start. Waited 10 minutes and fired right up. Tank was full but gauge said empty and low fuel level. Other MIL's started going off. Traction error, engine light, ABS to name a few.

Again after sitting, it wouldn't start. Again, it cranked. Disconnected battery overnight. Next morning same drill, but after 5 minutes on the road, everything reset except for fuel. After 10 minutes it was normal. Next day, same thing.

Any ideas?

check your alternator...some cars gauges go crazy when you have a bad alternator

Most likely, as Joycesjag says, you're battery is dying. Pull it and have it checked. It'll most likely have failing cells. Don't buy a cheap-o replacement.

If the battery is OK, then move on to the alternator.

This issue points up something about microprocessors -- take what they say as regards errorcodes *** salo granis, even better, a sackful of the stuff!
