Car locks, then unlocks
Sorry if this has already been asked, but the search feature won't let me narrow down my question.
Tonight, my wife's 2007 S type decided to refuse to remain locked. When I try to lock it (from inside or out) the locks activate, then they unlock a couple of seconds later. Checked doors - all are closed solidly. The same thing happens when we drive it: the car locks the doors, then they unlock automatically.
Ideas?

One of your lock actuators needs replaced. Many threads on the subject.
Goto search button, select "advanced", type "lock actuator", scroll down to "S Type", click "search".

Thanks! It seems to be the front passenger door. One odd thing, though: if I'm inside and I press the lock "button" on the passenger door, everything locks OK. Well, not exactly - I still hear the "labored" sound of the actuator within that door. But the doors only remain locked with this method, not with the fob, not with trying to lock using the key in the driver's door, and not when I push the driver's side door lock button. Go figure!

I have had to replace all 4 of mine over the last 4 years. The rears are harder because of the opera window. The front is pretty straight forward. Pull the door panel off and go from there. One tip. The outside handle trim has a nut that you access from inside. The other side has a pinch together plastic push pin. Also from the inside
