CD changer not working...
Guys, I asked this question on the tech section, with no results, so now I"ll give it a go here.
We have a 2004 S-type. When purchased (not form a Juguar dealer) I noticed that it was missing the cd cartridge, located in the trunk. When I finally got a cartridge, I loaded it up with cd's and place it in the changer, but it wouldn't work. I've tried everthingthat I can think of; in order to get it to work and nothing. I can hear the cd changer loading the cd's and it will actually display the six disc on the Navi screen, but after a few seconds thescreens displays reads no cd"s found. I will list the things that I've tried . FYI thein deck cd works fine. Any help or suggestions would greatly be appreciated.
1)Obtained cd cartridge form Envy ( resident Jaguar tech) so I know it works.
2) Inserted the cd's facing up and down.
3) Strictly used original cd's, no burnt MP3's
4) Held the button down for several questions
5) Checked all the wiring related to the cd changer.
6) Checked for burnt/missing fuses (I don't know if Imay have missed any since I don't own anowners manual, yet.
I'm thinking about unbolting the entire unit to further look for any possible loose wires/connections.

I was searching on Ebay for a Alpine cd changer, when I came across this. Anyone anything about this, i sthis included with the owners manual? It's a repair service manual?

I just took a look at the auction and it for the repair of your cd changer.
"Simply purchase the auction and send your unit to us for service."
You might be able to find one around eBay for less than that. Heck, I sold all my factory audio and nav stuff on there a couple weeks ago. Wish I still had it around, I would have offered it to you instead.
