I have noticed whenever I am playing a CD ( the in-dash, not the changer..maybe both though) sometimes it seems to pause it self for a few seconds yet really it is still supposed to be playing...as well when i go up or dwon a track it responds right away. Does anyone know what this fault is? Id like to find out before i drop it off for its 60k oil change in the next couple of weeks... THANKS AS ALWAYS!

 

What do you mean it responds right away? It is supposed to.
Are you playing burned discs?

 

lol the responds right away was just to help be more specific...yes burned discs mostly but also on store bought as well

 

The cd player is not designedfor burned discs. If it is pausing that way, possible bad discs, scratched or bad audio unit.

 

I experienced the same issue with the trunk 6-CD changer. The dealership replaced it at no cost.

Like FJT said; It's the CD media, dirty lens, or the unit itself is going bad. You may want to try getting a car CD player cleaning kit to see if that helps.
