Chain tensioners and cam cover seal change
For those who have been not sure about the tie wrap method for changing the secondary tensioners. I did it this week and it went will. Except for my age factor and bending ever the engine to remove stuff in the way of the 4.0 cam covers. I did make sure the nobbs on the exaust cam were facing up and I left the back cap on the cam on slightly . I used white out to mark the cam and the caps befour lifting the cam ever so slightly by the sprocket to change the tensioner one side at a time. Also check the seals before you torque thiings down.
My car has only about 51 thousand so the tensioners had only some wear on the right bottom side of one tensioner. The newer metal tensioners are working fine. Water pump is later when I can get more stuff off the Internet. It takes time to learn stuff you never tried before. But the Jag dealer wanted $ 2,250 or 100 dalliers an hour for 15 hours work plus parts. I'm retired "hell" It was not that hard! I cheated with air tools and a few nice long extensions with socket holders for getting around corners. Plus a pipe to break lose some bolts with wrenches that were not long enough. Now I' tired of typing. "Good Luck!"

Hi There Chucky60!!...
Good for you on repairing your ride...
I say ride because we don't know what you have if you don't tell us...or have it in your signature. I'm guessing that it is a car with the infamous 4.0 in it. And it has to be between MY 1998 (for XK8 ) and I believe 1999 (for S Type). I went through that with an 1998 XK8 Convertible awhile back, and it turned into a real circus. And a looooong story over on the XK8 site. But anyhoo... Good for you by being a DIY'er. Happy to see another retiree... enjoying themselves.
Drive On !!...
