Default check out the gold leaper

Don't ask me why guys, but I am flipping thru ebay and came across this 1 of a kind S. Note the gold leaper! The 2 tone on this one is ok, but it should have been dechromed, and the wheels should have been powder coated to match the gold paint.

There are a few other S's listed with 2 tone paint jobs as well.....YUCK!

Ad says "original paint"...OK, maybe an original idea to paint it two-tone white and champagne. Not as bad as the South Jersey specials but still deserves a YUCK! The clincher is the gold leaper. Please, somebody steal it.

I've seen worse, that's for sure. There's other 2-tone s-types running around, and very well could be stock paint jobs, I've seen the grey top with the dk blue on the bottom, more than once.

Why, oh why are all the two-tone S's from the "garden state" of New Jersey...(the add says it's from Trenton, a real "garden" spot..)...

(As I duck a smack from George......)

H2O... Based on the ton of literature I've read on the S, it never came in a two-tone....

I think it looks ok too. I would have softened down the top portion colour a little, maybe a softer/lighter brown/gold but it still looks a bit Rolls classy.

I wonder if there's a website that offers a look at what colour mixes would look like on the "S".

Default 2 tone S

Easy on NJ., and for the record I think it was done very nicely. might have lost the gold leaper, but paint looks nice. Everything is not for everybody

Looks like a clean car to be fair. The 2 tone paintwork not my choice and neither would be the gold leaper for sure, but each to their own I guess.

Nothing ment by it....I was born and raised in Jersey... It was more directed as a little joking with another user...Sorry if I offended...

I still like to poke fun at Joisey even after 14 years in Ohio....

Speaking of New Jersey, apparently one of the "Housewives of New Jersey" was a tad optimistic on what her and her husband's income would be and got in debt to the tune of around $12M or so. Apparently $79K plus 120K from family members per year doesn't go as far as it used to.

Jon,

Not sure what channel it's on but seems to be the latest in a long line of crappy reality TV shows. It seems as though the reality shows started during the last TV writer's strike and we're still paying for it on just about all the channels now. Even Speed has succumbed to them. It used to be a racing oriented network and now it's either NASCAR or redneck reality shows.

The two tone isn't too terribly bad. What gave it away was the [gold] leaper on the hood, and the flat jaguar emblem at the top of the grill. That defiantly makes it tacky.

The leaper and badge on the grill are factory. All the S's came like that in North America. In the UK the leaper is not included. The only difference on that car is the leaper was plated gold...
