I started under the hood first and then I'm goin underneath the car...Ive already taken apart and cleaned tha MAF and other components associated the torque stripes match up on tha MAF sensor...I am however looking for pictures of the engine with everything labeled because there are some things I wonder about under MY 2000 S type v6...The metal closest to the windshield with the letters R and the other L I don't know exactly what those are...Is MY EGR valve on the passenger side in front or on the driver side behind the engine?..Can someone lend some assistance it's like anything 2000 S type is buried treasure I've tried to purchase the manual to no avail plz help

I recommend using more direct titles. You have called your post Cleaning up My 2000 s type v6 3.0L which sounds like a progress report () but as I read through it you are actually asking for Pictures of the engine with everything labelled. This would attract more attention to your request with a greater chance of getting the information you want.

There is a huge amount of information on the forum but it can be difficult to find. The Driver's Handbook has been posted many times as a PDF here in the model forum and the full factory Workshop Manual (JTIS - Jaguar Technical Information System) can be downloaded from this thread in General Tech Help:

I forgot to mention both JEPC (free download) and site sponsors - both have pics of parts often with diagrams showing where they fit.

 

We just bought a 2002 x type and they are real nice little cars. I don't know much about them, but we had an engine light go on. It was smoke tested, no air leak it just said the car was running a bit lean. All we did before that was change a dirty air filter.
