Question Climate Control Module Help Needed

Had to replace the ECM in my 2005 S Type 3.0. After replacing ECM, replaced DCCV and Climate Control Module, flushed and replaced coolant. Now Climate Control Module does not even turn on. Have checked fuses and power to unit. Does the Climate Control Module need to be programmed to communicate with the ECM, or individually programmed like some radios? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

CCM / RCCM don't need such programming, I believe. Plenty of people just change it or fit the other type, all DIY, which tends to confirm that.

It's exceedingly rare to change the ECM. Why?
Bit of a task to reprogram a replaced ECM... who did it?

+1 to jagv8. Whah? Not that it matters anymore; who directed you to replacing ECM, etc. Go over CCM install.

Car was stored for 2 years. Moisture attacked the ECM. Jag dealer did the programming on the new ECM.

Aha. At least the background is known - many times we never find explanations!

If you want to DIY then grab JTIS (free download). It has workshop stuff and the electrical guide. Also visit - JaguarClimateControl.com
