Default Cluster delay

Hi all’ I’m a long time member but not a frequent poster as the jag has been running like a dream but for the last week there’s been a slight problem.
When I turn the key to light up the cluster or start ignition it takes around 20 seconds for Amy electrics to work. The electric park brake won’t release’ the windows won’t work and even the temp or petrol gauge won’t work. After around 20 seconds all is good. I have just changed the battery as the last one died. Any advice will be greatly received.
cheers
nigel

A belated "welcome to the forums" Nigel,

I've moved this question from General Tech Help to S-Type forum for advice from members with the same model.

Hi Nigel,

The $64,000 Question:

Was this strange delay present before you replaced the battery?

I'd suggest checking the battery voltage before and after start. You should see at least 12.6v before start. You should see approximately 14.5v right after start, tapering down to 13.5ish after a few minutes.
