How expensive is it to purchase a tool for reading engine codes or fault codes ?? , are there universal units for all makes and models or is it Jaguar only , I hate wasting $ getting faught code information from local garages, do what they say is causing the problem then a few minutes later and $50 bucks spent ,then the fault code (engine light) comes back on ?

mine was 62 dollars on ebay.............works awesome OBD CAN2 reader. just search that and bid on one.
