Code Scanners & Tuners ???
Budgets vary, but many of us would like to have a code reader. Some want a beginners' $50 unit. Some want more and will spend $150- - 250. Then there is the $800-- 1200 class.
In each, what do you prefer? TIA...
Mention the Jag you have.
EDIT: Newish here. Having posted, 4 threads pop up. Maybe a stickies could help? But perhaps disregard my query. Thx.

I have a 2006 s type r. My scanners are an icarsoft i930 and an older snapon modis that is updated to 2016 with euro cars. The i930 is my go to for codes and data from all modules. The modis comes out when i need bi directional features like trans clutch fill times and clear adaptations and anything else that can be controlled like the cooling fan. All it takes for hookup is the eoro cable and an s4 key. There are many on ebay. I paid 400 for mine in 2017. They would be way cheaper now. The snapon solus is good too. I also have jaguar sdd/ids that i use for programming and more detailed troubleshooting. I dont use sdd for live data because the other 2 are quicker to get going
