Cooling System Hoses- what brand?
2005 3.0 S-type
Has anyone ordered cooling hoses from JLR Classic recently?
https://parts.jaguarlandroverclassic.com/
If so did you get a true OEM part or a Brand-x replacement in Jaguar packaging?
Over the years I've found this happening with greater frequency on the older model Jags. The supplied parts are clearly lower grade items that I could've bought anywhere for half the price.
I don't mind paying a higher price for higher quality. But I don't like paying a higher price to merely get Jaguar packaging. Specifically, in this case, I'm trying to avoid getting URO parts. And if URO is all that's out there these days I don't want to pay JLR prices !
Cheers and thanks

Doug,
I did replace all my hoses, but it took a year to get them all. I wasn't concerned about the brand. They all have been installed for several years. No leaks I use the standard compression clamps, not the screw type. I also have the clamp compression tools. One small and one on a cable to reach the impossible. Good luck in your search, but I found the hoses to be fine no matter what brand.

Thanks for the input, David.
The URO brand parts, which are very widely sold, have a spotty reputation. The most common complaint is shorter-than-expected lifespan. That's a bit worrisome for me. But driving around on 19 year old originals is a bit worrisome as well !
Cheers
