Default Cracked bumper need help

Hello everyone, Yesterday I had a little incident where I was going up my driveway and I heard a crack and already had an idea what caused it because it has happened to several family members cars as well. I got out and looked for damage and seen a crack on the front bumper (lower left side). It's about 5 inches long and much smaller cracks that surround it. Their is literately a 45 degree slope going up my driveway, so I'm assuming as I was going up the bumper made contact with the snow/ice that's covering the concrete and cracked the bumper. So I'm here asking do y'all think this is repairable oe r would I havto replace the bumper, if repairable what would you estimate the costs and the costs to replace (having someone do the work/replacement) ?

I also took another look around the "damaged area" today and I noticed another large crack in the plastic area that surrounds the wheel (sorry I don't know much about vehicles and their part names) I'm wondering if that part is replaceable/fixable and if so can someone please link me to one available online if they ever have free time or if they're even available online ?

2005 Jaguar S-Type (not supercharged)
4.2L V8

Thank You ! Here are some pictures

and the car itself !

The damage doesn't appear to be that bad. S-type bumper covers and wheel well liners are made out of black Polypro. On the bumper, the small cracks are only in the paint and and larger crack is through the plastic.
The cracks are repairable by plastic welding. The paint cracks will have to be sanded down to the plastic, surface finished, and then repainted. The wheel well liner can be welded also, and the repair doesn't have to be "finished"

Any good body-shop can repair the damage. These types of damages happen all the time. Unless you have done plastic welding, panel prepping and painting, I recommend you go online and find a couple of local shops and get quotes for the repair.

I would guess that materials to repair the damage would cost under $100. Labor depends on costs where you live, but I'de guess up to $300 in labor.

I might go take it tomorrow to get an estimate, and might as well get it repaired. But I'd like to replace that black wheel liner do they sell them online anywhere ? Thanks

Hello everyone, I haven't yet taken my car to get the estimate on the crack repair, but I was looking online for a new wheel liner, and I think I found it but I'd like to know if this is the part I'm looking for. I believe it's number 2 on the diagram they have. 2005 Jaguar S-Type Parts - Jaguar Parts Center - Call (800) 510-1401 for Genuine Jaguar Parts and Accessories

thanks for your time !

Replace the bumper cover. No body shop is going to mix paint for less than $100. You can buy a bumper cover online relatively cheap and have the body shop paint it for you.

You can install yourself in a warm garage with a good work area. Use blankets to protect the new finish.

I'd never pay to repair a broken bumper cover because it wont last.

The crack is hardly noticeable at all, it's only noticeable until you get on your knees and stick your face in it pretty much , but the crack on the fender liner is fairly noticeable. I was looking at some new bumper covers online and they go for about $700, I'm thinking I'm going to just get that crack "fixed" for now hopefully it'll last 2+ years? then I'll buy that new cover, or until I break it again...but I'm going to buy that new wheelhouse/fender liner for now.

If the plastic bumper is repaired correctly it will last. With the new plastic welders it can be easily fixed. But you might find a used one. Just check it for cracks as it is likely to have seen some impacts too!

Yes item 2 is the wheel well liner. Last time I checked the price was very close to what you posted. These tend to break over time. Have you looked at the other side? The little aero tab at the bottom front tends to get broken off on curbs. Especially if you don't have front park sensors.

Checked the other side, and no damage ! also would you happen to know of the rear wheel well liner covers the whole wheel well or just like 75% of it ?

Yes. It looks like it.

That is one part I have never removed but the JEPC does have a good diagram. See below.
